Brechfa Forest is the modern name for the ancient forest Glyn Cothi which has been at the centre of the history of Wales.   —  From the base for the “Robin Hoods”  of Wales,    inspiring the “PR”  campaign for Henry Tudor V Richard III,  a major source of explosives during WWI.   a centre for research into alternative tree species for planting in UK forests to its current role of demonstrating best practice in supporting a community to link attractive landscapes to the local economy.
